While there are some people who just keep their heads down and keep going without outwardly complaining, most will eventually find it difficult to get a sense of achievement out of a job that does not change much from day to day, because we need to learn and be stretched. A motivated, engaged workforce needs a programme of manageable change, where all the changes are positively framed, achievable, and improved motivation by meeting human needs better.
